As Travel Tours offers you a tour across Morocco. We will take you to the cities as well as to sand dunes outside the urban areas, sometimes through the most unlikely desert tracks. This circuit of 10 days is a combination of Morocco’s history, culture and landscape. If you do not have enough time to do « the Grand Tour of Morocco », Morocco The best tour is your first alternative. You can visit the main imperial cities of Morocco, traveling the Kasbah Trail and the old caravan route; visit Essaouira on the coast, and isolated Berber villages. You will also ride camels and spend the night in the Sahara desert. During this trip you will learn the history, diverse culture, meet the locals and enjoy the fascinating landscape, Morocco to offer. Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

On the arrival to Casablanca International Airport, Meet and greet by your driver, then leave toward Casablanca for an orientation visit of Casablanca, with a stop in the Hassan II mosque for the outside visit. Then we will leave to Rabat. Here you will see the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah, the front of your riad in the medina. Night at the Riad or Hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez.

After breakfast, leave your hotel for Fez via Meknes and Volubilis. In Meknes, another important imperial city in Morocco, known as the Ismaili capital of Morocco, you will see the famous Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Souani “Basin” and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, the journey continues to the Roman city of Volubilis, where you’ll get to see the original mosaics wonderfully preserved, a Roman road, and a city map. As you travel through the Moroccan countryside we’ll go through the holy city of Moulay Idriss for a photo opportunity. We continue to Fez, after the visit of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, on arrival to Fes we check-into your riad in the old medina.

Day3: Full Day in Fez to explore

Breakfast in your riad then begins a tour of the Medina where you will visit the many hidden treasures that only the locals know them. Fez was Morocco’s capital city for more than 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the oldest university in the world. Your tour will take you to Moulay Idriss mausoleum, the Nejjarine Fountain and the Tanneries. After lunch, you can also see the exterior of the Royal Palace and walking through the famous Jewish neighborhood “Mellah”, where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the few synagogues “alive” in Morocco. Your visit of Fez includes a short visit to the famous pottery factory, then you can enjoy panoramic views of the medina of Fez from different corners.

Day 4: Fes – Midlet – Merzouga.

After breakfast in your Riad, you will go south-east along the caravan route to Merzouga. During this trip, you will experience a glimpse of the Middle Atlas and the upper Atlas mountains. Stop at the cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, the Middle Atlas mountains, where you can see the wild untamed monkeys. after lunch in Midelt, you will continue through the large coming desert, and notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. Your journey continues along the luxuriant Ziz Valley and the palm trees and oasis of Tafilalet, famous for the cultivation of dates. This area is the foundation of the Alawite dynasty – the current royal family in Morocco. Day 5: Camel ride in the Merzouga Dunes.

After breakfast in the riad, you will begin a tour of the region. You will visit the Gnawa people – originally slaves brought from Sudan and live the experience of their music and lifestyle. Not far away, there is the lake of Merzouga, known for its diversity of birds. You can also visit the souk – an open market of Rissani and Tafilalte, a traditional town which is at the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the caravans coming from Timbuktu in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men with ribbons and veiled women. Return to the village of Merzouga for some rest in the afternoon you ride your camel; guided by an experienced guide; explore the Merzouga sand dunes. Night at our camp in the desert, where you will have your dinner. For your convenience, the camp is equipped with tents and private bathrooms. (Half board).

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Early in the morning, your camel guide wakes up to watch this well may be the best sunrise of your life. After breakfast at the camp, you will walk to the village of Merzouga. Day 7: Vallée Du Dadès – Skoura Oasis – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi N’Ttichka Pass – Marrakech.

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive through the Dades Valley to Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The road through the Dades Valley is the way of thousand Kasbahs – providing many opportunities to take some of your best photographic clichés of travel. Day 8: Exploration Marrakech.

Day 9: Tour trip to Essaouira.
